EFSA published the final list of afticle 13 health claims to be assessed EFSA has published the final list of article 13 functional health claims under the EC Regulation on nutrition and health claims No 1924/2006 which it will assess, and the time schedule for the scientific evaluation. In the list, there are over 4 000 health claims of which - about 1 000 will be assessed by end of July 2009 - about 470 will be assessed by end of November 2009 - evaluation deadline for about 2 700 claims is to be determined (for part of these claims further information is required, and some claims were either submitted to Commission or changes to the claims were made just in December 2009). Health Claim Seminar of Finnish Food Safety Authority on 11th of December, 2006 The Finnish Food Safety Authority (Evira) investigated the health claims and the scientific evidence that the claims are based used in Finnish food marketing during the spring and summer of 2006. The investigation was implemented pursuant the Nutrition and Health Claim Regulation under preparation in the EU, expected to be completed at the end of 2006. Read more »
